Grounding

Normally the PLC gateway will be mounted and wired on a MagneTek drive

panel. However, the gateway can be mounted remotely by the customer. Also,

special consideration must be given to the 120 VAC power source and

grounding of the gateway chassis. The chassis and “green wire” ground

connection should be securely attached directly to the panel on which it is

mounted. The panel must also be securely attached to the building earth

grounding system. If the 120 VAC source is grounded, which is preferred,

ensure that the white power cord is attached to the ground source wire.
